1 whole 2/5 converted to an improper fraction is 7/5. What is a fraction? A fraction is written in the form of p/q, where q ≠ 0. Fractions are of two types they are proper fractions in which the numerator is smaller than the denominator and improper fractions where the numerator is greater than the denominator.
