What density should I use for candle wax?

It depends on the wax type: soy wax is typically 0.9–0.95 g/mL, paraffin around 0.9 g/mL, and beeswax closer to 0.95–0.96 g/mL, all measured at room temperature before melting changes the volume further. Check your specific wax supplier's data sheet, since blends and additives shift these figures.

Does melting or cooling change the density I should use?
