How this instrument works

Turkey roasting time is usually given as minutes per pound, and major turkey brands' own charts converge on similar ranges at the standard 325°F oven temperature: roughly 10-12 minutes per pound unstuffed, and 15-17 minutes per pound stuffed, since stuffing adds mass the heat has to penetrate and also has its own food-safety temperature to hit.
